CEINDO has held the Inauguration Days of the different programs currently taught at the School in the different CEU Universities.
One more year, the International Doctoral School (CEINDO) has held the Inauguration Days of the seven programs that are currently taught at the School in the different CEU Universities, and has welcomed the 148 new doctoral students for the 2023-2024 academic year who, together with the rest of the doctoral students, make up a total of 533 enrolled students.
During these conferences, organized by those responsible for the programs, which took place between January 8 and February 6, general aspects of the courses were discussed, in relation to the organization and academic and training topics such as : the development of the program, its phases, regulations and procedures. Likewise, the Academic Committee has presented the main lines of research, the associated research projects and the professors participating in each doctoral program.

📖 Humanities for the contemporary world.
This first session featured the Professor of Philosophy, Ignacio Sánchez Cámara, to give the Master Lecture “The Care of Man.” The director of CEINDO, Coral Barbas and the Program Coordinator, Juan Carlos Jiménez Redondo, were in charge of welcoming the future doctors.
📢 Social communication.
During the day, Fernando Galindo, professor at the Pontifical University of Salamanca, gave the inaugural presentation “Artificial intelligence tools applied to research”, while the Program coordinator, Tamara Vázquez, was responsible for presenting it.
🔬 Health Science and Technology
The director of CEINDO, Coral Barbas, together with the vice-rectors of research of the CEU USP and UCH, Agustín Probanza and Alicia López, respectively; the program coordinator, Beatriz de Pascual-Teresa; The deputy coordinator, José Terrado, and the program secretary, Antonia García Fernández, welcomed this Program.

The following participated in the presentation ceremony: the director, deputy director and academic secretary of CEINDO, Coral Barbas, Marta Viana and Ana María Montero, respectively. The inaugural lecture “Past, present and future of Heritage” was given by Professor of the University of Alcalá, Javier Rivera Blanco. For his part, the program coordinator, Pablo Campos Calvo-Sotelo, offered some welcoming and closing words.
⚙️ Engineering and Technological Development in Industrial, Biomedical and Computational Applications.
The coordinator and secretary of the Program, Fernando Sánchez López and Javier Tejedor, respectively, addressed a few words of welcome to the doctoral students.
⚖️ Law and Economy.
On this last day, the person in charge of the Documentation Center of the MAPFRE Foundation, Paloma Gómez-Luengo, was in charge of giving the inaugural lesson “Mapfre Foundation Documentation Center: a commitment to scientific research.” For their part, the director and deputy director of CEINDO, Coral Barbas and Marta Viana, together with the coordinator and academic secretary of the Program, Ana Belén Campuzano and Carmen Calderón, respectively, welcomed the students to the course. future doctors.

CEINDO thus continues with its mission of promoting the training of people with competence in research and innovation, through doctoral studies appropriate to the needs of specialization, updating and diversification of training, research and the transfer of knowledge to the Society, as well as, to form a large group of researchers specialized in the different Programs of the School to consolidate a network of researchers with international projection.
