Management

Heads of PhD Programs at each University

PhD Program Coordinators

Functions of the CEINDO Management Committee

The Management Committee is in charge of defining the School’s research strategy in collaboration with other competent bodies at the three sponsoring universities, while ensuring all necessary inter-university coordination.

At the proposal of the Director and prior to their submission to the relevant governing bodies, the Management Committee shall report on proposals to create, modify or eliminate new PhD programs and lines of research, as well as proposals to integrate Master’s degree courses with a primarily scientific purpose and other open research training activities.

The Management Committee is responsible for all general requirements and criteria governing the presentation of original work in the candidate’s doctoral dissertation.

The Management Committee may, following a positive and unanimous report from its Standing Committee, as provided under Article 4.4, decide that a doctoral program should not be offered jointly by the three universities when it considers that the inter-university aspect does not add value to the relevant program.

The Management Committee, via the Standing Committee mentioned in Article 4.4 of this Regulation, must confirm, within a ten-day period, the authorizations required to present a dissertation, as well as any dissertation evaluation panel proposal. However, when a valid reason exists, the Standing Committee of the Management Committee may, within the same period of time, request that the relevant academic committee complete all information or remedy any present shortcomings that may have been detected, and suspend this agreement until the request has been duly complied with. To this end, the academic committee of each doctoral program must promptly communicate the aforementioned resolutions to the Director of the School.

Mission, Vission y Values

Mission

It is the raison d'être, the main reason why it exists. What is its purpose or objective and what is its function within society?
The San Pablo CEU University Foundation is a creation of the Catholic Association of Advocates (CAA).  The San Pablo CEU University Foundation was founded with the intention of contributing to the improvement of society through education provided in its teaching centres.  It offers an educational model in accordance with Christian principles and values, transmitted to us by the Gospel, and acts in favour of justice and defence of humanity in public life.  The goals of the institution are the pursuit of academic and professional excellence, innovation in its educational projects and the training of students in human values and virtues.
The CEU International Doctoral School (CEINDO) was established with the objective to promote training to those who are competent in research and innovation. The training, research, and transfer of knowledge to society through CEINDO's doctoral studies are suited to the needs of specialisation, diversification in education, and at the forefront in updating knowledge.
The end goal is to form a large group of researchers specialised in different programmes so that a solid network of researchers is consolidated within an international scope.
CEINDO is therefore responsible for the planning, organisation and management of the official doctoral programmes of the three participating CEU universities, and of the entities that may join it in the future. It is also responsible for ensuring the suitability and quality of the doctoral activities to achieve sufficient critical volume and to turn it into a central element in the research strategy of universities.

Vission

Where is CEINDO heading? The vision allows us to define the path to follow to achieve the proposed goals.
CEINDO’s path begins with developing scientific and technical research that generates knowledge, stimulates critical scientific thinking, promotes technological development, innovation and business competitiveness, and sustains equitable and sustainable economic progress.
Its vision embodies a university education of excellence that contributes to the personal, professional, and cultural development of students, and supports the progress of the entities and society in which it is integrated.
It also includes maintaining several research groups made up of doctors with proven research experience. This faculty will ensure high standards in the teaching and application of the tutoring system and the quality of doctoral training. Researchers in training at CEINDO will join one of the already consolidated groups of researchers where they will find the appropriate environment to cooperate in the task of renewing knowledge, contribute to innovation in specialised areas of knowledge, participate in the transfer of the results of their research to society and establish relations with relevant research centres in the international sphere.
Finally, CEINDO’s vision aims to foster inter-university doctoral programmes at the three CEU universities (CEU San Pablo; CEU Cardenal Herrera and Abat Oliba CEU) and to promote collaboration with the most prestigious university institutions so that trainee researchers in their programmes can participate in the most relevant European and international research projects.

Values

They complement the mission and vision. They are the principles on which the actions and decisions of our School are based.
Compliance with applicable requirements, standards, and regulations.
Promote internationalisation as a driver of tolerance, coexistence, respect for human rights and communication between people and societies.
Contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of people and society through innovative knowledge.
Guarantee quality training for doctoral studies based on continuous improvement and excellence.
Encourage research activity based on rigorous methodologies and respect for established ethical and deontological principles.
