Functions of the CEINDO Management Committee
- The Management Committee is in charge of defining the School’s research strategy in collaboration with other competent bodies at the three sponsoring universities, while ensuring all necessary inter-university coordination.
- At the proposal of the Director and prior to their submission to the relevant governing bodies, the Management Committee shall report on proposals to create, modify or eliminate new PhD programs and lines of research, as well as proposals to integrate Master’s degree courses with a primarily scientific purpose and other open research training activities.
- The Management Committee is responsible for all general requirements and criteria governing the presentation of original work in the candidate’s doctoral dissertation.
- The Management Committee may, following a positive and unanimous report from its Standing Committee, as provided under Article 4.4, decide that a doctoral program should not be offered jointly by the three universities when it considers that the inter-university aspect does not add value to the relevant program.
- The Management Committee, via the Standing Committee mentioned in Article 4.4 of this Regulation, must confirm, within a ten-day period, the authorizations required to present a dissertation, as well as any dissertation evaluation panel proposal. However, when a valid reason exists, the Standing Committee of the Management Committee may, within the same period of time, request that the relevant academic committee complete all information or remedy any present shortcomings that may have been detected, and suspend this agreement until the request has been duly complied with. To this end, the academic committee of each doctoral program must promptly communicate the aforementioned resolutions to the Director of the School.
