How long do the doctoral studies last?
For full-time doctoral degrees regulated by R.D. 99/2011, the duration is 3 years (plus 1 extension of one year and another 1 year in exceptional cases), and 5 years (plus 1 extension of two years and another 1 year in exceptional cases) if they are part time.
For the purposes of calculating the time of the programme, leaves of absence due to illness, pregnancy or any other cause provided for in the regulations in force shall not be considered.
