The Doctorate Program in Translational Medicine is tailored to Graduates in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, and other university graduates from the Health Sciences with an interest in Research in Translational Medicine. In addition, an adequate level of English is encouraged. Students exempt from additional training: Given the program´s translational nature, it is recommended that students hold a Master’s degree from a Spanish or foreign university, in the following areas:
Methodology for the study of pathogenic processes underlying human diseases.
Molecular and genetic biology of disease and its implications in the clinical expression of organic and mental diseases, and in their progression and response to treatment.
Methodology for the identification and validation of biomarkers and molecular targets of interest in diagnostic-therapeutic development.
Laboratory methodology and preclinical experimentation.
University graduates who, after being admitted to training based on a specialized health training exam, have completed a minimum of two years of training in an officially recognized program related to Health Sciences.
Students who have not completed prior training required for admission must, upon successful enrollment, attend any additional training deemed necessary by the Academic Committee.
