Research into creativity is essential to the development of a methodological body of work, enabling professionals to deal with projects in a consistent manner, while furthering their social commitment and improving quality of work, whether it be architectural elements or urban areas.
Explores the technological, material and constructive dimensions of architectural and urban projects. It will attempt to broaden students’ knowledge of the elements and processes inherent to the physical dimension, such as techniques and resources, improvement of the environment, constructive solutions, as well as research into materials and technologies, with innovation as a priority. This line of research will be sensitive to the study of subjects of critical importance to the future, based on promoting sustainable development and renewable energies, among other strategies that are directly related to holistic environmental design and construction in urban-architectural work.
